NASHVILLE Tenn. -- (Oct. 22 2014) – Black River Entertainment recording artist Kellie Pickler makes her debut appearance on “The Queen Latifah Show” this Thursday Oct. 23. Click here to search where the syndicated daytime talk show airs in each local market.
During the show Pickler talks with Queen Latifah about how much fun she had voicing the lead character of Mirabelle in the new animated VeggieTales movie “Beauty and the Beet” distributed by DreamWorks Animation. Both the DVD and the companion CD which features Pickler performing eight songs are available in-stores now. As part of the show Pickler challenges Queen Latifah to the bean bag toss game known as “cornhole” which she plays often with her band members while on the road. In honor of October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Queen Latifah pledged a donation for each bean bag that hits the target to the Susan G. Komen Foundation which funds research and awareness for breast cancer.
After taping “The Queen Latifah Show” Pickler travelled to Washington DC to perform at the 2014 USO Gala. “It was a great night honoring our service men and women” said the singer/songwriter who is strong supporter of the U.S. military and has performed on seven USO Tours overseas thus far.
