While breakout country star Tyler Braden has already captured the attention of the industry much on his own, the Alabama native will now also will have the powerful team of 50 Egg Music, a publishing and artist development venture co-owned by Luke Combs together with co-founders Tali Canterbury and Jonathan Singleton, backing him up as his journey towards widespread stardom continues. The deal is part of a comprehensive partnership with Sony ATV as Braden, represented by Braeden Rountree and Austin Neal at WME, inks with Triple 8 Management for representation.
“From the miles traveled, the people you meet, the naysayers and the supporters, the life long friends, the sleepless nights, the free shows, the shows where you're paid with a plate of food and, most of all, the fans you meet and really connect with – those are the small victories that keep you going,” recollects Braden, who until last month worked as a full-time firefighter during the week and as a weekend road warrior across the southeast on his days off. Raised on a hearty mix of 90s country from artists such as Alan Jackson, Joe Diffie and Brooks & Dunn, Braden adds, “You do it all in the pursuit of that once in a life time big break.”
And yes, that big break is here. With the move, Braden not only joins creative forces with 50 Egg Music, but also remains a standout in an already strong stable of country artists that also call Triple 8 Management home, including Eli Young Band, Chase Rice, Josh Abbott Band, Scotty McCreery, Joe Nichols and Whiskey Myers among others.
“It’s been a while since I met a new artist who wants this more than Tyler Braden,” shares Triple 8 co-founder Bruce Kalmick. “While we’ve been a part of Tyler’s team for a few years on an advisory level developing the music and structure to best set him up to succeed, we are excited to officially sign him to our management roster in partnership with Pete Olson. This alliance with 50 Egg and Sony ATV is an exciting next step toward releasing more great music from Tyler.”
“Talent, work ethic and persistence are all things I look for in clients and Tyler definitely checks every one of those boxes,” adds Olson. “He knows what he wants and he knows who he is as a writer and artist. We are thrilled to partner with Triple 8, 50 Egg and Sony ATV.”
Braden is one of the first artists signed to the newly-formed 50 Egg Music since Combs himself. Publisher and president Tali Canterbury elaborates, “Our vision at 50 Egg is to help launch careers, and Tyler’s signing is a strong testament to all our belief in his talents as a writer, vocalist and performer.”
Braden began writing songs while working as a firefighter in his hometown of Montgomery, Alabama, spending his off days playing shows throughout the southeast. After his first performance at a writer's round in Nashville two years ago, the songwriter side of him was automatically hooked and his decision was made: to make the move to Music City. While no longer a firefighter, having recently shifted his entire focus to music, Tyler has quickly built a name for himself among industry insiders for his powerful voice, addictive melodies and relatable lyrics. With his debut single, “Little Red Wine,” popping-up on Spotify’s curated playlists New Boots and Wild Country, amassing more than 10 million streams-and-counting, it’s now only fitting that it’s his career that’s on fire.
