When Louisiana-native and singer/songwriter Jacob Davis sat down with his brother Jordan Davis and Jason Gantt to write what is this week’s No. 1 on the Mediabase chart, “Take It From Me,” they felt they had something special that day in the writing room.

“We knew we had something special when the song was finished," recalls Davis. "Jason looked at both of us when the track was done and said, 'well, which brother is singing it?' Jordan and I stared at each other smiling. After about 10 seconds of silence I said, 'I think this one is yours bro.'”

Jacob Davis learned how to play guitar at 15-years old and began performing publicly while he was in college. Upon graduation from LSU with a degree in environmental science, the Shreveport, Louisiana native spent a year working before realizing that his true calling was music. Soon after, he made the move to Nashville. Having already shared the stage with artists including Lady Antebellum, Sam Hunt and Kelsea Ballerini, Davis is currently writing and recording music for his own album.
