NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tune in tomorrow to catch Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery on “CMT Hot 20 Countdown” where he will share the world premiere of the official video for his current Top 40 and rising single “You Time.” The episode will also feature an in-depth interview with McCreery from Nashville’s Mercy Lounge where a portion of the video was shot to offer fans a behind the scenes look at the making of the video. Catch the episode Saturday, Feb. 27 at 9 am ET / 8 am CT on CMT with a re-air on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 9 am ET / 8 am CT.

Directed by Brianna Fish, the video depicts a busy newlywed couple separated by a musician’s life on the road while his new bride continues her education. The scenario is a familiar one for McCreery and the inspiration behind “You Time.”

“When I wrote this song, I was on the road more than I’d ever been. I’d get home just in time to see Gabi heading off to work so I was really craving ‘You Time’ with her,” shared McCreery. “We wanted to capture that experience in the video plus we’ve got a really fun cameo so be sure you watch till the end!”

McCreery has been hard at work on the highly anticipated follow-up to RIAA Gold-Certified Seasons Change, with “You Time” as the lead single. Written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Aaron Eshuis, and produced by Rogers, Eshuis and Derek Wells, the track has garnered nearly 11 million streams since its release and is steadily climbing up the Country charts.
Billboard notes, “the first single from his forthcoming album bodes well for his streak of three back-to-back No. 1’s to continue,” while MusicRow proclaims of McCreery, “as always, he’s a country beacon,” and of the track “upbeat and romantic, this has a lot going for it.”

“You Time” follows McCreery’s three back-to-back No. 1’s from Seasons Change: the RIAA Double-Platinum Certified “Five More Minutes,” RIAA Platinum-Certified “This Is It” and RIAA Gold-Certified “In Between.”
