Rising Country Star Chase Wright Releases New Song "Missing You"

Friday, May 21, 2021 - 8:15am

Rising country star Chase Wright has been steadily rolling out tracks since his debut “My Kinda Morning” last August, including TikTok hit “Wish You’d Miss Me,” “Why Should We” and recent “Drive.” Accumulating over 23 million streams in the last nine months, Wright “continues to impress with original material” according to Billboard and he’s back with new song “Missing You” available everywhere today.
The new summer-ready track, written by Chris DeStefano, Chase Fouraker and Taylor Phillips reflects the Indiana native’s respect for country music’s way around a story.
“Of the songs I’ve released so far, I’m most excited for this one,” explains 24-year-old Wright. “Warm summer nights are here in Nashville and the energy of this song reminds me of that. I love an upbeat sad song and that is what I wanted to do with ‘Missing You.’ While the song might be about a break up, the energy is about moving on.”
Wright’s confident sound is marked by relatable storytelling and the sonic flair of electric loops and pop rock chords alongside traditional acoustics. His music is a natural offshoot of the artists who dominated his teenage playlists: Keith Urban, Matchbox Twenty, The Fray, 3 Doors Down and Goo Goo Dolls.
Wright will continue to release new tracks throughout 2021. For more information and latest news, follow along on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter
About Chase Wright:
Chase Wright is doing more than make his childhood dreams come true: he’s introducing himself as a bold new Nashville artist with a freewheeling approach to genre, firm footing in relatable storytelling, and soft spot for big choruses. Respect for country music’s way around a story without feeling beholden to it defines the Indiana native’s energetic songs, which rely on electric loops and pop-rock chords alongside more traditional sounds made from steel strings and wood. It’s a confident blend that belies the fact that 24-year-old Chase first picked up a guitar only four years ago as a freshman track star at DePauw University. After graduating with a degree in economics, Chase packed his bags for Nashville, where he has since earned a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music and signed with Morris Higham for management. His debut song “My Kinda Morning” is available alongside “Wish You’d Miss Me,” “Why Should We,” “Drive” and most recent “Missing You.”
