NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 2, 2015) – After receiving rave reviews for turning in performances that were “almost operatic” (The Plain Dealer) night after night on Luke Bryan’s Kick The Dust Up Tour, Randy Houserdidn’t miss a beat before launching his own tour on November 19. With the Troy Daily News hailing the arrival of “one of country music’s most powerful voices,” Houser’s We Went Tour launched with three packed-in shows in South Bend, Ind.; Corbin, Ky. and Troy, Ohio; rolling through the post-Thanksgiving weekend with additional stops in Saginaw, Mich. and Evansville, Ind. with Frankie Ballard and special guest Craig Campbell rounding out the bill.
“Our show has really evolved this year, and I’m excited that we get to do some things we’ve always wanted to do on this tour,” said Houser. “It’s been a really big year for us; we got to meet so many new fans while we were out with Luke and I’m just excited to go out with this tour and show them what a Randy Houser show is all about. We plan to keep them on their toes!”
That adventurous spirit is also reflected in Houser’s current Top 20-and-climbing single, “We Went,” which the South Bend Tribune called “a hard-charging Southern rocker in the same high-octane storytelling vein as Robert Earl Keen’s classic ‘The Road Goes On Forever.’” Written by Justin Wilson, Matt Rogers and John King, “We Went” is the first single from Houser’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album, expected via Stoney Creek Records in early 2016. Houser received his first CMA Song of the Year nomination in 2015 for its predecessor, the Top 5 hit “Like A Cowboy,” in addition to scoring three consecutive No. 1 smashes from his most recent album, How Country Feels.
