Ole Red’s “Battle of the Bands” series took place on Wednesday evenings, beginning on Aug. 19 and running through Dec. 9, giving fans the opportunity to experience live music across Nashville, Gatlinburg, Tishomingo and Orlando locations as well as streamed via Facebook live. Fans voted for their favorite act to name a winner each week across venues. A grand champion was selected by determining which of this year’s winning acts received the most fan votes. Performing from Ole Red Orlando, Bryan Malpass was crowned the champion of Ole Red’s Battle of the Bands 2020 series on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
Each participating band had the opportunity to play two songs including one original and one cover. The performances from each venue were livestreamed into the others, giving guests at each location the opportunity to “visit” all the Ole Red venues in one night. Guests also received a special offer just for participating in the voting process.
