South Carolina rock band NEEDTOBREATHE (brothers Bear and Bo RinehartSeth Bolt and Josh Lovelace) continues to push boundaries when it comes to putting out new music for their fans. The band’s latest musical offering, Forever On Your Side (Niles City Sound Sessions) released on Atlantic Records, is the product of a ten day recording session at Niles City Sound in Fort Worth, Texas (the famed location where Leon Bridges’ GRAMMY®-nominated debut Coming Home was recorded). The band recorded everything in real time, creating a sense of spontaneity and allowing the GRAMMY®-nominated group the opportunity to hone their creativity to produce four of the most sonically diverse tracks of the band’s career.
The collection of songs highlights the vintage flare and nostalgic vibe of Niles City Sound, while displaying the band’s willingness to explore and engage new ideas. From the neo-soulful “Bridges Burn” and the bluesy “Bullets,” to the emotionally-charged “Darling” and Americana-infused singalong title track “Forever On Your Side (with JOHNNYSWIM),”  the band Forbes claims “[defies] mainstream music classification” pulls out all the stops in delivering this unique anthology to the fan-base that built them.
“When we wrote the song ‘Forever On Your Side,’ we were thinking of our fans who have been with us since the very beginning,” said Bo Rinehart. “There are certain songs over the years we’ve been able to envision playing live on tour before we even officially record the first note. This collection of songs, specifically the title track, are kind of full circle for us and bring back a lot of the sounds people might have heard from us early on. So in many ways, this project is for the fans who have been on our side since the beginning.”
Forever On Your Side (Niles City Sound Sessions) Track Listing:
