NASHVILLE POP DUO KID POLITICS SIGNS WITH VERGE RECORDS

Friday, June 5, 2020 - 10:45am

Drawing comparisons to Twenty One Pilots, 5 Seconds of Summer, Imagine Dragons and OneRepublic, Nashville pop duo Kid Politics, the newest signee to Verge Records, is poised to drop their first single “Free” June 12 on all platforms. Pre-save “Free” HERE.

Frontman Kelby Dover, from Screven, Georgia, and Conroe, Texas, native Nick Arbuckle, an established touring bassist, met in Nashville in 2017. Arbuckle immediately gravitated toward Dover’s vocal capability and pop sensibilities after hearing his vast collection of songs.

“My head is in the clouds for these guys!” exclaims Mickey Jack Cones, president and COO of Verge, an imprint of distribution giant ONErpm. “Their music is extremely positive, and the message of ‘Free’ needs to be heard now more than ever.”

“We feel at home with Verge,” adds Arbuckle. “The global reach Founder/CEO Emmanuel Zunz has built with OneRPM, combined with the focused attention and direction from Mickey Jack and their entire staff has given us the opportunity to bring the message and music of Kid Politics to a worldwide platform.”
