Coming off a wildly successful CMA Fest, breakout singer/songwriter Levi Hummonhas been back in the studio working on new music and taking that new music to fans by hitting the road with 2x GRAMMY nominee and personal family friend, Alison Krauss. One stop included a sold-out crowd at Sprint Pavilion in Charlottesville, Va., where a little bad weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of the dedicated fans that came to see the show.
“It was a rainy night in Virginia but a completely sold-out crowd came out to greet us,” reflects Hummon. “The audience was really receptive and loved the stories behind the music! I got a huge roar of applause when I mentioned my mom’s work with Thistle Farms, which is always such a great feeling.”
Of touring with Krauss, Hummon could not be more grateful: “Alison has been so kind to me in the multiple dates she’s invited me out on the road. It was so cool to see her band side stage watching us play and being real champions of young singer/songwriters.”
Hummon’s set list included new songs “Change My Life” and “Earthquake,” current single “Songs We Sang,” sentimental ballad “Love Heals” which features Krauss’ harmonies, a rifling cover of “Wake Me Up,” and Hummon’s two previous hits, “Don't Waste The Night” and “Stupid.”
At the beginning of June, Hummon inked a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Levi Hummon was surrounded by music greats; however, it wasn’t until he was studying painting in college that he began to explore his dormant musical talents – singing and songwriting – as a way to navigate his life and relationships. He quickly developed his own unique personal sound with the help of his father, GRAMMY-Award winning songwriter Marcus Hummon. Hummon soon found himself working with notable songwriters such as Jimmy Robbins, Shane McAnally, Andrew Dorff, Josh Osborne, Jonathan Singleton, Nathan Barlowe, Brandy Clark, Trevor Rosen and more. Hummon also wrote with legendary entertainer Steven Tyler on his most recent single “Red, White and You.”  Hummon’s single “Guts and Glory” gained national attention from iconic truck brand, Ram Trucks, sponsoring Levi’s 2016 tour and positioning him as the 2017 spokesperson for the Ram Truck brand.

With over 17 million streams in less than a year as an independent artist for “Don’t Waste the Night” and “Stupid,” Hummon has been named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 5 Breaking Artists Now and one of Rolling Stone’s “Artists You Need to Know.” “Stupid,” which debuted on Billboard’s Top Country Songs chart and remained for two weeks as the only song on the chart by an unsigned artist, has reached over 10 million digital streams and was named to Amazon’s 2017 Best of Country Songs list. Hummon’s current single, “Songs We Sang,” is available now. For more information, visit www.levihummon.com or follow him on FacebookInstagram and Twitter.
