Franti Readies New Music Set for Release This Summer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Following numerous sold out shows and a triumphant return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre last year, Michael Franti & Spearhead prepare to reunite with Soulrockers across North America this summer with the Follow Your Heart Tour, kicking off May 14 at BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach, Calif., performing nearly 40 shows with plans to announce additional dates. Tickets will be available this Friday, Feb. 18 at 10am local time at MichaelFranti.com, with VIP experiences available for many of the dates. Pre-sale tickets are available now via SoulRockerFam.com.

“We’re so excited to head back out on the road this summer! After such a challenging few years, we are more ready than ever to share new music with our Soulrocker fam and join in community together,” shares the musician NPR describes as having an “infectious groove.”

“We’ve got some great festivals lined up to go along with our headlining shows accompanied by our friends Of Good Nature, Tropidelic and The New Respects. See you soon!” Franti concludes.

Franti & Spearhead will be joined by Of Good NatureTropidelic and The New Respects as support, all three of which were part of Franti’s 2021 Soulshine At Sea cruise in partnership with Sixthman, marking his very first hosted cruise after supporting over 10 cruises throughout his career. Watch a recap of the very first Soulshine at Sea cruise
HERE, featuring performance footage, uniquely curated on-board activities hosted by Franti and other guests, daily yoga and HIIT classes, wellness coaching, live “Stay Human” podcast tapings and more.

Franti has been hard at work in the studio since last fall, writing and recording his 12th studio album and follow-up to 2020’s Work Hard And Be Nice to accompany the band on the road this summer.

Deemed a “groundbreaking musician” by Entrepreneur, Franti launched a virtual event revolution in June 2020 with his Stay At Home Concert World Tour, a creation prompted by his first summer in 33 years in which he wasn’t on the road due to the global pandemic, performing for over 50,000 fans worldwide with seven uniquely themed virtual livestreams. In order to better connect with his Soulrocker community, Franti developed a dual-screen model, allowing fans to join a “Backstage Zoom Party Room” and interact directly with one another. Franti is set to host two upcoming livestreams: Follow Your Heart Livestream on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 9pm ET/6pm PT and Brighter Days Livestream on Friday, April 22 at 9pm ET/6pm PT.
