Thursday, September 19, 2019 - 4:45pm

Last month twenty-year-old multi-instrumentalist Dylan Brady released tender heartbreak song “I Hate California,” via RECORDS/Columbia Records/Riser House Records. Now the artist Taste of Country calls a "skilled country storyteller" is back with an intimate new video to match the introspective song.

Written by Brady alongside Jared Scott, “I Hate California” tells the story of yearning for that one person who has found another home for their heart. A "supple blend of country and pop" according to Sounds Like Nashville, listen to the song

Coincidentally, Brady wrote “I Hate California” around the same time as his groundbreaking single “Over Us,” which has amassed over 1 million in consumption across streams and views since its release. The song serves as yet another product of the continuing collaboration between Brady and Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney, who serves as producer on the song alongside Brady and Andy Sheridan.

The touching backstory of Rooney and Brady’s ongoing working relationship is now told in a revealing new YouTube video that can be found on Brady’s weekly YouTube series with new episodes every Friday,

Brady is also currently in the studio finishing up his first EP to be released off Weiss’ imprint RECORDS, home to Lennon Stella, Matt Stell, LSD (the Labrinth-Sia-Diplo collaboration) and Fifth Harmony alumna Lauren Jauregui, and in partnership with Columbia Records & Riser House Records.
