CHUCK WICKS TO JOIN LEE BRICE IN HAWAII AND JAPAN TO PERFORM FOR U.S. MILITARY

Tuesday, November 20, 2018 - 8:30am

Singer/songwriter and media personality Chuck Wicks received quite the surprise yesterday (Nov. 19) when Curb recording artist Lee Brice stopped by the Ty, Kelly & Chuck Mornings' studio and invited Wicks to join him on a few upcoming dates with purpose the first week of December.

Live on air, Wicks eagerly accepted the invitation to join Brice on regular tour dates in Hawaii and one special performance for U.S. military servicemen and women serving overseas. The two joked about tour buses, writing songs and the 12-hour flight to Japan. Catch the clip

Ty & Chuck are calling on fans to create 100,000 thank you letters to our troops overseas during the month of November. The “Better Than Flowers” singer plans to bring the campaign with him as he embarks on the trip.

Wicks first burst onto the country music scene in 2007, when his debut single “Stealing Cinderella” earned him the highest debut for a new country artist that year. Since then, he’s found success down various paths. Much more than a musician, Wicks is a co-host of Academy of Country Music Awards’ two-time nominated and Nationally Syndicated radio show “Ty, Kelly and Chuck,” heard in over 50 cities across the United States. Also seen on television, he is one of only 11 athletes chosen from around the world to be featured on Season 2 of NBC Sports’ “IRONMAN: Quest For Kona” TV show, airing fall 2018. An avid outdoorsman, he has been featured on Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s “RMEF Team Elk” series on the Outdoor Channel. Additionally, Wicks is an alumnus of ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars.”
