CHASE WRIGHT’S DEBUT MUSIC VIDEO: “MY KIND OF MORNING”

Thursday, August 20, 2020 - 2:15pm

Country newcomer Chase Wright introduced himself as a bold new Nashville artist with a freewheeling approach to genre with his debut song “My Kind of Morning,” penned alongside Matt and Josh Jenkins and produced by Zach Abend. Just days after its release, he’s back with its companion music video. Watch HERE.

The energetic song coupled with the hazy sunrise-set music video with the Nashville skyline faintly in the distance foreshadows what’s ahead creatively for an artist with respect for country music’s way around a story.

“With so much uncertainty in the world right now, I’ve really been reminiscing a lot lately, and that nostalgia for those mornings and moments where you’re so inspired and don’t want to waste a second of it is really where ‘My Kind of Morning’ came from,” imparts the Indiana native. “I wanted to stay up all night to film this, however smarter minds prevailed and we woke up at 4 a.m. to film this video on the outskirts of Nashville,” he says, laughing.

Committed to infusing his music with beat-heavy moodiness, “My Kinda Morning” channels his pop-rock leanings. Wright adds his own flair with electric loops intermingled with traditional sounds made from steel strings and wood, while remaining firmly planted in relatable storytelling.

At only 23 years old, Wright is already a much-buzzed-about singer/songwriter who has captured the attention of industry veterans landing a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music and signing with Morris Higham Management for exclusive representation.

About Chase Wright:
Chase Wright is doing more than make his childhood dreams come true: he’s introducing himself as a bold new Nashville artist with a freewheeling approach to genre, firm footing in relatable storytelling, and soft spot for big choruses. Respect for country music’s way around a story without feeling beholden to it defines the Indiana native’s energetic songs, which rely on electric loops and pop-rock chords alongside more traditional sounds made from steel strings and wood. It’s a confident blend that belies the fact that 23-year-old Chase first picked up a guitar only four years ago as a freshman track star at DePauw University. After graduating with a degree in economics, Chase packed his bags for Nashville, where he has since earned a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music and signed with Morris Higham for management. Written with Matt Jenkins and Josh Jenkins, his debut song “My Kinda Morning” is available now.
